- Title: A Data-Scientific Approach to Representation Theory: Case Study of Kronecker Coefficients
- Abstract: The Kronecker coefficients are the decomposition multiplicities of the tensor product of two irreducible representations of the symmetric group. Though they have been studied in combinatorics and representation theory since 1938, there is still no known combinatorial description of the Kronecker coefficients, and it is an NP- hard problem to decide whether a given Kronecker coefficient is zero or not. In this talk, we will take data-scientific approaches to obtain sufficient conditions for the Kronecker coefficients to be zero or nonzero.
