Title:  Modular symbols with values in circular distributions and Milnor K-theory
Abstract: Classical modular symbols are explicit methods to study the homology of modular curves.
There is a natural way to generalize them and the aim of this talk is to construct an explicit modular symbol with values in circular distributions, which captures the period integrals of Eisenstein series. This modular symbol is intimately related to Milnor K-group of the ring of trigonometric functions and I will explain this relation in details in the talk. This talk is based on a joint with Glenn Stevens.

Title:  Cluster algebras and monotone Lagrangian tori
Abstract:  In this talk, I will discuss how to extend previous work on the application of cluster algebras to symplectic geometry. After reviewing the framework we have developed for constructing monotone Lagrangian tori on varieties equipped with cluster algebra structures, I will explain how cluster structures on certain unipotent cells and subgroups can be used to show that there exist infinitely many distinct Newton–Okounkov bodies and monotone Lagrangian tori in partial flag varieties whenever the corresponding cluster algebra is of infinite type. This talk is based on joint work with Yunhyung Cho, Myungho Kim, and Euiyong Park.
